The new Handtmann TOP-HAT rear subframe stands out thanks to its innovative concept and avoidance of complex assembly steps. With the lightweight construction achieved by using high-pressure die casting, Handtmann shows that there are other ways to realize performance- oriented and cost-efficient assemblies than through standard steel solutions. The one-piece, die-cast design, which is based on calculations using topology-optimized geometry, meets the highest requirements for a reliable and high-volume production process. In addition, it enables both a reduction in weight and improved component performance through its impressive concept.
